Bio
Political Science & Complex Networks and Systems.
Shih-Chieh Wang holds a M.A. in International Relations (National Taiwan University, 2010) and B.A. in Political Science (Chinese Culture University, 2006).
Previously he served as the coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprise Working Group (SMEWG) for over three years. His direct engagement in APEC affairs is invaluable experience for understanding the complex networks and systems in international negotiation.
With this experience, he is interested in applying agent-based modeling (ABM) to further understand and analyze the international negotiation, decision-making process, social networks and behavioral politics. Awarded and sponsored a four-year fellowship by the Ministry of Education of the Taiwanese Government, he is doing his NSF-NRT Interdisciplinary Dual PhD Study in Complex Network and Systems (under School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering) and Political Science.
