Sociology & Complex Networks and Systems
Originally from Germany, Patrick Kaminski's main interests are Network Science, Health, and Complex Systems. After finishing his Bachelors at Humboldt University Berlin majoring in Sociology and Political Science in 2014 he started his Masters in Sociology and Social Research at the University Bremen. After spending the 2016-17 academic year as a Fulbright Fellow at Indiana University Bloomington, Patrick started his dual Ph.D. in Sociology and Complex Systems & Networks as an NRT fellow. Currently, he is part of a research project on identifying prescription opioid abusers ("doctor shoppers") using machine learning and social network analysis techniques.
