Sikander is an M.S. student in Informatics – Complex Systems track – at Indiana University (Bloomington) and his advisor is Professor Luis Rocha. He received a B.Sc. in Physics from Imperial College London. Sikander is a research assistant who is working with Professor Rocha on the NIH MyAURA grant by helping to create a knowledge graph for epilepsy. Using text analysis methods, he is working to find evidence of drug-drug interactions on the Epilepsy Foundation website’s forums and chatrooms. He is also a 2019 NRT Summer Affiliate whose project is about using Boolean networks to model neural systems. He is attempting replicate the neural dynamics of in vitro rat brain cultures and of C. elegans.
