Bio
Cognitive Science
Madhavun Candadai is a doctoral candidate in the Program in Cognitive Science, with a minor in Computer Science, at Indiana University, Bloomington. Mentored by Dr. Eduardo Izquierdo, his research falls under the broad category of neural basis of intelligent behavior. Specifically, his work involves building computational models of dynamical recurrent neural networks, optimizing them to perform a variety of tasks, and then analyzing them using information theory to understand the principles of information processing in neural networks. Prior to joining Indiana University, he got his master’s in Electrical Engineering from University of Cincinnati and Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering, from Amrita School of Engineering, India.
